Once again this year, FERCHAU AVIATION, a division of FERCHAU Engineering GmbH, will be a premium sponsor of the Crystal Cabin Award. This international award honours innovative products and concepts in the aircraft cabin sector. Initiated by Hamburg Aviation, the award is presented in eight categories: cabin concepts; cabin systems; electronic systems; green cabins; health, safety & environment; materials & components; passenger comfort hardware; university, and visionary concepts. The award ceremony and presentation of the trophies will take place on 5 April during a dedicated gala at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg. An international jury of experts will assess the altogether 78 concepts and products in various categories that have made it to the cabin industry final this year. The products and concepts of the finalists will be on display throughout AIX.
As a member of the FERCHAU AVIATION GROUP, Rostock System Technik GmbH (RST) will also be present at AIX from 5 to 7 April. In Hall 6, Stand 6B90-10.3, specialists and HR managers will be available for expert talks about advanced cabin und system design and end-to-end responsibility.
For 2016, the FERCHAU AVIATION GROUP has announced plans to further expand its competencies in the cabin fittings sector as well as services in the areas of cable harnesses and flight simulators. Here, the company's objective is to streamline its project processes and, especially, achieve synergies in its cooperation with risk-sharing partners and companies.

The FERCHAU AVIATION Division currently employs more than 900 developers, design engineers, hardware and software professionals, and project managers distributed among its locations in Bremen, Hamburg, Munich, Augsburg, Donauwörth, Laupheim (all Germany) and Toulouse (France) as well as Madrid-Getafe, Barcelona (Spain), Bristol, Bournemouth (UK) and Bangalore (India). In 2015, the AVIATION Division generated sales of over 70 million euros.
FERCHAU Engineering GmbH currently employs more than 6,600 graduate engineers, IT consultants, technicians and draughtspersons in over 90 branches and locations and over 70 engineering offices (as at 31 December 2015). FERCHAU operates in areas that include machinery and plant construction, vehicle technology, aerospace, electrical engineering and IT.
