What career opportunities can FERCHAU offer me in the automotive industry?: FERCHAU has numerous locations in Germany, giving you the chance to actively contribute to shaping our automotive future. Here with us, you can turn your passion for vehicles and motors into a career, and have the opportunity to personally develop drives, electrical systems, prototypes and much more besides. This can be done in our in-house workshops, our test benches and technical offices, but also directly on-site with major automotive manufacturers. Whatever location you choose, at FERCHAU you will always be at the cutting edge of innovation.

Do you also have jobs for motorcycle fans, like me?: Of course, we don’t just specialise in four-wheeled vehicles. Motorcycles are also one of our focal areas – such as at our Munich site, for example. Everything revolves around motorcycles, along with their validation processes; engines are stripped down and examined for faults and wear. As a member of the team, you will upgrade bikes in our technical measurement workshop and take part in testing in your role as a test mechanic. When working on our customers’ test benches, you will perform emissions and endurance tests, allowing us to obtain valuable insights for future innovations.

Does FERCHAU also offer opportunities for career changers?: But of course! At FERCHAU, passion is as important to us as conventional training pathways. Regardless of whether you are already an expert, or you want to develop in a new direction, or perhaps you’ve realised that your degree course was overly theoretical – what we want to see is your enthusiasm and readiness to train in new areas. Whatever your interests might be – in development, production, quality assurance or another area – at FERCHAU, you can unfurl your talents.

Is there a way for me to train to become a manager?: Our talent development programme provides you with the ideal platform to prepare yourself for specific (technical) management roles. You can benefit from a comprehensive continuous training plan, incorporating face-to-face and web trainings on key leadership subjects. You will also receive tailored development interviews with customised measures for your personal and professional continuous development. The programme is designed to boost your leadership skills and your sense of responsibility, while enhancing your network of contacts within the business. The aim is to properly equip you to demonstrate your competence as a leader.

Is there a way for me to gain practical experience at FERCHAU during my studies?: FERCHAU offers a wide range of opportunities for students, e.g. through working student or internship programmes. This allows you not only to take the theoretical knowledge gained from your studies and apply it in practice, but also to gain crucial insights into the automotive industry and make some initial contacts who can make it easier for you to embark on your professional life!

Am I able to get an advance look at my future activities?: Some of our locations have an advanced application procedure, offering candidates the chance to spend a few hours getting a feel for their potential new role. At this point, you can have a look at your future workplace and get to meet your colleagues. This allows you to find out in advance whether the role meets your expectations, and whether you feel at home in our team.
